2017-05-29 - Korean Rock Festival - 자라섬 스프링 사운드 페어(Jarasum Spring Sound Fair) (Part. Final): Conclusion

Gear:

I can't stand the quality of the cellphone quality of filming and photography, A decent camera is a must for next trip.

Language:

Two good looking Korean girls, who later I found out they were VIP, asked me how to get the official wristband during Zero-G set, I did not stated I was a foreigner but roughly told them the direction of the entrane, I felt I was too rude to them. I though Korean could recognize me a foreigner easily and the official wristband should be given at the entrance, although the security at the entrance did not ask people to wear it at the first day and probably VIP had no wristband or had other thing instead? I saw them at the train station after the festival and wanted to say sorry to them for my manner. I didn't do it, because I was afraid my bad language would cause more problem. I should bought a travel book and brought it with my trip.

Find few more ways to backup files.

Public Transplort:

I should watched some YouTube videos about it before the trip.

Shop:

I failed to find out Korean Karaoke shop in Seoul, I should planned to visit specific shop.

My Korean Friends:

Metalhead Dan and Jimi Kim helped me a lot during the trip. Sad that I couldn't meet Dan in Seoul.

New Korean Friends:

Happy to make some Korean friends after the trip, a chef who live in Hong Kong and is a friend of Jimi Kim, a CHS fan helped me for the CHS songs titles of his set at the festival and kindly sent me two autographed CHS CDs, the bassist of Publicphone kindly sent me three autographed CDs of the band latest release.

City:

1. South Korea is a beautiful city.

2. The streets are clean and almost have no rubbish at all.

3. The trains are clean and peace.

4. The train stations are clean.

5. No rubbish bin on the streets, there're recycling bins in the park.

6. Staffs at the train station are helpful.

7. Convenience stores have variety items.

Rock, Metal Scene In Korea:

1. Supporters from very young boys/girls to middle age people.

2. Can be a family activities.

3. Know more than I can imagine.

4. Good show even with less audiences.

2017-05-28 - Korean Rock Festival - 자라섬 스프링 사운드 페어(Jarasum Spring Sound Fair) (Part. 14): 아리랑 플라즈마(Arirang Plazma), 서울(Seoul), 청계천(Cheong Gye Cheon/清溪川), 숭례문(Sungnyemun Gate/崇禮門).

아리랑 플라즈마(Arirang Plazma) was amazing!!
The band rocks!!!!!!
They also filmed their set professionally!!
I was shocked that so many middle age people sang along with the band and enjoyed the band  great performance!!

They tried to request an encore at the end, but it did not happen.
















I did not saw the last old band, I wanted to save more time in Seoul, so I left.

청계천(清溪川/Cheong Gye Cheon)

It's a very nice place for couple and friends!!

I knew this place because I saw it in a Korean TV drama 내게 거짓말을 해봐(Lie To Me/大話男女).

Seoul was a very nice city!!

박근혜(Park Geun Hye) was the president of South Korea then.

Nice!!

It's a lankmark 숭례문(Sungnyemun Gate/崇禮門).

Very beautiful at night!!

At this point, I could whether take the last train to airport or walk a while for the lat night bus to airport.

Since I couldn't find a real Karaoke store around, I rushed for the last train, and I luckily arrived in the last minute.

자라차도교(Jara Road Bridge)

해머링(Hammering) is not my cup of tea.
I was shocked that they did a 신촌블루스(Shinchon Blues) cover!!

퓨어(Pure) was good, but I couldn't really into their songs.
They did a good cover of Crazy Train.

블랙신드롬(Black Syndrome)
 is wonderful!!
Amazing voice!!!!!!
I took only few videos of them after sound check, I enjoyed the show very much!!


H2O!!!!!!
They let people enter the vip zone after the first famous song 안개도시!!!!!!!!!!!
They did a good show!!
Those cover songs were very nice!!

Took photo with H2O's guitarist Tommy Kim after H2O set.

I found out H2O members when they were taking photos. Tommy Kim stayed talking with people when other members left. One of them noticed me and helped me to take a photo with Tommy Kim. I said to Tommy Kim that I came from Hong Kong and your guitar playing was awesome!! He replied me that Wow!! you came all the way here!!
